Description
AAM/LP/NL Alarm Acknowledgement Module (AAM) is designed for high-reliability fire detection systems, where occupant acknowledgement of alarm events is required before escalation. This loop-powered addressable module integrates into intelligent fire alarm loops and enables controlled alarm verification within a self-contained unit. It’s ideal for single-occupancy units (SOUs), apartments, or multi-tenant areas where false dispatches to the fire brigade can be mitigated.
When connected to a compatible non-latching addressable detector and sounder base, the AAM gives occupants a pre-warning period (e.g., 30 seconds) to investigate before the system escalates to full alarm. If the acknowledgment button is pressed, an investigation period starts (e.g., up to 180 seconds). If the condition remains unresolved, the module then transmits to the control panel and fire brigade as required.
